Measurements: Height 185 cm (including lampshade)
Materials: Silver-plated metal, fabric
Elegant floor lamp (piantana) made of silver-plated metal, characterized by a richly worked stem and remarkable scenic impact.
The object features a column structure with turned elements and relief decorations. The base, of a tripod or polygonal shape, is adorned with acanthus leaf motifs and volutes typical of the eclectic decorative repertoire. The stem alternates smooth sections with nodes decorated with reeding, culminating in a lamp holder topped by a large, conical lampshade in fabric with coordinated trim.
The style reflects the taste for monumental furnishings of the second half of the 19th century, combining the solidity of the metal structure with the refinement of the silver finish.
Italian manufacture, originally intended for prestigious residences.
The work is datable to the 19th century (high 19th century).
The object is in good general state of preservation; the patina of the metal shows the natural signs of age that attest to its authenticity. The lampshade shows slight bloom and signs of wear consistent with its age.
