Vienna circa 1835-40, late Biedermeier period. Pretty, warm, and elegant chest of drawers with a hutch for sideboard use (Aufsatzkommode), veneered in burl and quilted ash with ash burl details. Features a captivating golden patina with an amber hue. Dimensions: H. 215 cm, W. 129 cm, D. 60 cm. Hutch depth 36 cm, width 120 cm. A warm, practical, and bright piece of furniture, perfect even for small apartments and excellent for combining with modern pieces. The item is in practically intact condition with a museum-standard shellac finish applied with a pad.
