The frame has a profile articulated on multiple moldings: the outer band is decorated with continuous vegetal motifs, the intermediate one with acanthus leaves, both alternated with thin bead moldings. The inner, smooth, and wide scotia connects the decorated profile to the rabbet. The pastiglia reliefs, a technique widely used in 19th-century Italian frame production, allow for fine and repeatable plastic rendering of decorative motifs. The gilding retains its warm hue with a uniform aging patina. Condition report: Overall good condition.
