Description:
Biedermeier lacquered wooden table, circa 1815, enhanced by a later lacquer. The furniture features a top. The piece, built with slender proportions and modest dimensions, has a slightly shaped rectangular top, a front drawer, and a connecting lower shelf. The legs are curved, tapered, and slightly bent, an element that visually lightens the structure.
The surface is treated with a light grey lacquer. Natural wear of the finish, visible along the edges, borders, and contact surfaces, reveals the underlying wood.
The piece is suitable for use as a side table or small desk, maintaining a discreet and functional presence within rooms furnished with historic items.
