Byzantine vase by Avem from the 1950s. Large vase from the series nicknamed Tutti Frutti by Avem, designed by Dino Martens. Byzantine glass is characterized by the inclusion of different techniques in a single piece of glass. A.V.E.M. is one of the oldest glassworks in Murano. The glass is cased, and the interior is a brilliant red. The exterior is transparent, characterized by the presence of zanfrico glass, twisted canes, murrine, and inclusions of gold and silver leaf.
