Refined desk entirely veneered in walnut and rosewood, embellished with walnut burl and inlays also made with fruitwoods. The desk features truncated pyramid legs, characteristic of the period, and a sliding top towards the back. This makes the piece of furniture comfortable for seating, without necessarily having to be positioned within the furniture's space; by opening it, the writing surface is revealed, equipped with a red leather-covered lectern. The latter is also sliding, both in the center and at the sides, revealing four secret drawers ideal for storing objects. The furniture is also equipped with five drawers at the front and is open at the back, as the mastery of the inlays can also be admired from behind. The inlays are very refined, made in geometric patterns and in the classic fan shape on the corners, lending superior elegance. This is a piece of furniture of great taste and refinement, capable of adding a touch of class and antiquity to any environment. Manufactured in Central Italy during the Louis XVI period, around the late 18th century.
