Painted Tyrolean Wardrobe Blue  Translated
Description:
Painted Tyrolean Wardrobe Technical Information: Period: early 19th century Origin: Tyrol Wood: Fir Height: 188 cm Width: 136 cm (160 cm at the cornices) Depth: 50 cm (60 cm at the cornices) Description: Tyrolean painted wardrobe made of fir wood, dating back to around 1820. The structure features a rectangular body with chamfers, set on turned front and back feet, with a slightly projecting base and a molded top cornice, also protruding from the sides. The front is divided by two hinged doors, each divided into framed panels. Within the frames, stylized floral compositions are painted, developing from decorative vases in a symmetrical and vertical pattern. The motifs, executed in tempera, use a traditional palette with a blue background, red and green frames, and polychrome inserts in the floral details. The panel frames and decorative bands feature wavy and phytomorphic motifs, drawn with a continuous and regular line. The hardware is wrought iron: the hinges are visible, attached directly to the doors, while the internal lock has a shaped plate and original mechanism, visible in the detail images. The sides are left exposed and decorated with a faux wood finish, achieved through painting, which simulates the grain pattern. The side decoration is framed by painted bands that echo the colors and motifs of the front, creating visual continuity. The interior is organized as a single compartment and can be customized according to its intended use. Work carried out on all our furniture: - Structural restoration: repair of small missing parts, closing of any cracks on the back panel, consolidation of deteriorated areas, inspection and repair of hardware. - Thorough woodworm treatment. - Cleaning and sanitization of the interiors. - Exterior finishing with natural beeswax. - Interior finishing with shellac, a natural alcohol-based varnish. Customizations: Upon request, it is possible to agree on: - the desired level of restoration; - interior customization (addition of hanging rails, shelves, dividers, etc.).  Translated
