Beautiful bronze sculpture, lost-wax cast, depicting a young Mozart. The famous composer and musician is depicted in typical 18th-century attire, wearing breeches, boots, a waistcoat, and a knee-length jacket, as visible and known from his most celebrated portraits. His hair is gathered into the traditional wig, while his gaze is focused on the violin he is playing; the latter has an iron string in its bow. The sculpture is mounted on a bronze base, on the front of which is the inscription "Mozart," identifying the subject of the work. Also on the same base is the inscription "Chiparus Lamant," likely attributable to the sculptor and the foundry. French manufacture from the late 19th century.
