Oil on cardboard. Signed lower right. Gheduzzi was known primarily for his work as a set designer at the Teatro Regio in Turin, but he also established himself as a landscape painter, creating his works "en plein air" following the Rivara school, a Piedmontese emulation of the more famous Barbizon school of landscape painting. The atmosphere of this glimpse of a small country village, illuminated by the rosy reflections of the sunset sky, is evocative. The work is presented in a carved and gilded wooden frame, with some minor losses.
