Description:
Vienna, c. 1815. From the circle of early designers close to Joseph Danhauser. Rare early Biedermeier chair of practical wooden integrity, veneered in cherry wood with a "futuristic" line. With a shellac finish applied by tampon with museum-standard technique, over a warm early patina of extraordinary color. Dimensions: height 88 cm, seat height 45 cm, width 48 cm, depth 42 cm. Observe the last photo on this page, which is a fanciful computer simulation where the original works are virtually imagined in a high-end modern furnishing context. N.B. The other furnishings in the photo, excluding our original offered work of course, are not ours/available but are computer-simulated. Associated with them virtually, an astonishing "modernity," luminosity, and abstraction emerge from a work conceived over two centuries ago. With a great touch of class and elegance to the whole. The high Viennese antique cabinetmaking of the Neoclassical period (1770-1830), with its sober and minimalist elegance, precious and light woods, blends very well with the lines of contemporary modern furniture. Even a single original, perfect, unique piece can serve as a focal point for high-level contemporary interiors! Early design by Viennese masters of early Biedermeier = clean lines, lightness, veneers with precious woods, great execution skill. Compact dimensions and compatibility with modern apartments. A feeling of everyday elegance and functionality. Perfect for minimalist contemporary interiors. A unique item for discreet and refined luxury. For these reasons, along with rarity, intact original Viennese works from the period, prototypes of modernism, are destined over time for significant economic revaluation and also represent a perfect investment opportunity. In accordance with the New Code of Cultural Heritage, the selling company provides a detailed written photographic guarantee of originality and provenance of the works sold concurrently with the sale. The data used to describe the works and contained in the written guarantees are explicit determinations resulting from accurate and documented technical/historical/artistic investigations, even to the level of expert appraisal. Copying and duplication for commercial purposes or for describing other works for sale, even if considered somehow similar, is prohibited. Recognize true Viennese Biedermeier of the early phase of the period, distinguishing it from later or Northern European imitations!
