Beautiful and elegant center writing desk, with high-quality inlay work in walnut and rosewood, and embellished with lost-wax cast bronze decorations. The desk is distinguished by its lyre-shaped legs, joined by turned parts and decorated with gilded bronze floral details, with legs ending in similar gilded bronze animal paws, equipped with casters for easy movement. The top features an inlaid band and a finely chased gilded bronze gallery, which lend further elegance. In the frieze below the top are three drawers with gilded bronze handles: two of medium size and a particular smaller one, placed near the right corner, functional for pens and inkwells. This is a writing desk of great taste and refinement, capable of furnishing any environment with class and elegance. Italian craftsmanship, recalling the neoclassical style of French cabinetmakers, in the Napoleon III period, around the mid-19th century.
