Large Venetian mirror
decorated with canes and flowers,
made by master glassmakers in
Murano in the second half of the 19th century.
This splendid composition is
one of a kind for its size and
the quality of the elements used.
Gold leaf frame
covered with colored glass canes.
In the corners are polychrome glass paste flowers
resting on a bed of clear glass leaves.
The elements are attached to the frame with
metal nails, wire, or hot glue.
Small repairs made with silicone
and a few missing parts, overall not noteworthy.
