Description:
Austria, 1820-30. A pair of chairs of unique beauty, from the early designers of the first part of the Biedermeier period, in integrity conditions with a shellac finish applied by hand using museum-standard techniques. With an initial warm patina, veneered in walnut burl and root, combined with refined maple wood inlay. Elegant stylized eagle wings on the sides, typical of the Neoclassical Restoration taste of the period. Austria, 1820-30. Observe the last photo on this listing, which is a speculative computer simulation where the original pieces are virtually imagined in a high-end modern furnishing context. N.B. The other furnishings in the photo, excluding our original offered pieces of course, are not ours/available but are computer-simulated. Virtually associated with them, an astonishing "modernity", luminosity, and abstraction emerge from works conceived over two centuries ago. With a great touch of class and elegance to the ensemble. The high Viennese antique cabinetmaking of the Neoclassicism period (1770-1830), with its sober and minimal elegance, prized and light-colored woods, strongly complements the lines of contemporary modern furniture. A perfect original, unique piece as a focal point for high-level contemporary interiors! The early design of Viennese masters of early Biedermeier = clean lines, lightness, veneers with precious woods, great executive skill. Compact dimensions and compatibility with modern apartments. A feeling of everyday and functional elegance. Perfect for minimalist contemporary interiors. A unique item for discreet and refined luxury. For these reasons, along with their rarity, intact original Viennese pieces from the period, prototypes of modernism, are destined to appreciate significantly in value over time and also represent a perfect investment. In accordance with the provisions of the New Cultural Heritage Code, the selling company provides a detailed written photographic guarantee of the originality and provenance of the works sold at the time of sale. The data used to describe the works and contained in the written guarantees are express determinations resulting from accurate and documented technical/historical/artistic investigations, including expert appraisals. Copying and duplication for commercial purposes or for describing other works for sale, even if deemed somehow similar, is prohibited.
