QUEEN ANNE WALNUT TRUMEAU EARLY 18TH CENTURY 
Description:
Elegant and refined trumeau veneered in walnut burl and inlaid in walnut, with oak interiors. The trumeau features an upper section with two projecting arches and silvered mirrors on two doors that open with a key. Inside, numerous compartments are revealed, including two candle slides, seven drawers, various document compartments, and two doors flanked by two columns. The lower part of the cabinet has four drawers, two large and two smaller, ergonomically designed for storing items, and openable with bronze locks. The trumeau finishes with bun feet, while in the central part, there is an elaborate secretaire with a drop-down front, two pull-outs, and a leather writing surface inside, numerous drawers, and secret compartments such as decorative columns that could function as secret letter holders. This is a piece of furniture of very high prestige and uniqueness, capable of furnishing any environment with extreme refinement and class. English manufacture from the Queen Anne period, early 18th century. Dimensions: H x W x D 211 x 103 x 62cm
