Oil painting on cardboard, Giuseppe Serafini 1960 depicting a girl with a village, 67x87cm, canvas only 59x79cm. Signed in paste at the base. Beppe Serafini was born in the hamlet of Torre in the Municipality of Montelupo Fiorentino on October 20, 1915. In Serafini's paintings, both the poverty experienced and the professions long practiced in his world are depicted. Oxen and doves, animals in general, men and women, rough hands and wide-open eyes, are permeated by an atmosphere that expresses all the author's gentleness. Milan, Viareggio, Bologna, Frankfurt, Siena, and Nice are just some of the cities that have hosted exhibitions of his works.
