Elegant geometric motifs on the top and the band beneath the top highlight the contrast between the walnut veneer and the walnut burl veneer, lending depth and luminosity to the surface. The overall effect is one of great elegance and sophistication.
Inside, the table features an extraordinary, richly inlaid top in various woods with figures of griffins and mascarons, executed using fire-etched shadows: distinctive techniques from the finest Lombard workshops of the period.
