Description: Set of six antique solid mahogany chairs dating to the second half of the 19th century.
The backrest, nicknamed a "medallion" (oval), is set within a shaped wooden frame finished with a "beak of owl" edge.
The typically truncated cone and fluted legs feature gilded bronze trim at the top and a gilded bronze "sock" at the base.
General Condition: Restored by our master artisans using the traditional handmade shellac and alcohol method.
Origin: France, second half of the 19th century.
