Oil on canvas. French school from the second half of the 19th century. On the back, there is a wax seal with the inscription "Atelier Gustave Courbet". The renowned artist (1819-1877) repeatedly depicted wooded scenes with deer and fawns, but the painting presented here is not attributable to him. The work, characterized by intense realism, features a doe with her young within a grove of trees in the woods, with light filtering through the branches to create luminous effects. The painting is presented in a beautiful 18th-century frame, lacquered and adapted.
