Five volumes, each measuring approximately 269 mm, with about 400 pages each. Each volume is illustrated with numerous in-text engravings and beautiful plates. The latter total 226, of which 106 are splendid, with fine contemporary coloring, protected by original tissue paper. Beautiful publisher's binding in full percaline, entirely decorated with polychrome motifs (cartonnages polycromes). Gilded edges. Some foxing on the pages of a couple of volumes, and on the binding. A rare work to find complete with all five parts, especially in uniform publisher's binding and with a highly beautiful iconographic apparatus. Dimensions Five volumes in 4to (269x173mm). Provenance Private collection Condition Some foxing on the pages of a couple of volumes, and on the binding. The binding of the first volume is slightly duller; otherwise, the volumes are in excellent condition, with particularly fresh bindings.   Translated
