Walnut desk with pull-out

Description:

Italian writing desks, first half of the 19th century

in walnut with drawers and a pull-out drawer

Pyramidal legs in Louis XVI style

Four small side drawers and a larger central one

all with working locks

Under the top is a convenient pull-out drawer

with brown leather and gold decorations

Single-piece walnut top, central insert engraved

with what appear to be initials and

decoration along the edge, inlaid in light wood

The same decoration is repeated on both sides.

The legroom in the central tunnel is

55 cm wide and 59 cm high

Restored and polished with shellac.
