Walnut veneer chest of drawers. Italy, early 19th century. 137 x 64 x h 100 cm. Chest of drawers entirely veneered in walnut burl, with a top shaped at the corners. The front features four drawers, one narrow upper drawer and three of equal height, with dark wood stringing. The corner columns with capitals and vertical fluting mark the structure, connected at the bottom by bracket feet with volutes. Two turned wooden knobs. Condition report: Walnut veneer in good general condition. There are signs of widespread wear, superficial scratches, and some losses to the veneer.
