Entirely veneered in walnut and burr walnut with light wood inlay, the bureau features a bombe front with three drawers with a sinuous profile on all sides. The fall front is veneered with central burr walnut panels, surrounded by a herringbone band and edged with double inlay; when opened, it reveals a writing compartment organized with four small side drawers and a central door. The drawers of the lower body are equipped with gilded bronze handles and escutcheons. The piece rests on veneered walnut cabriole legs.
Condition report: Good general state of conservation, with signs of wear consistent with age.
