Pair of small Venetian commodes with three drawers.

They feature exceptional bombé movement on the front and sides, in the most typical tradition of Venetian Rococo furniture.
They are entirely veneered in olive wood. The profiles, the richly carved skirt, and the scrolling feet are in solid walnut.
The proportions of these two pieces are of remarkable beauty; besides being used as important bedside tables, they can be incorporated into any other room.
Although possessing all the stylistic and construction characteristics of the finest Venetian cabinetmaking, they should be placed within the 19th-century reproductions of artworks from the golden age of the Serenissima, created to meet the great demand for furniture, paintings, and sculptures – true masterpieces, as desired as they were rare.
They have been restored with shellac polish in our workshop. (The last photos show the previous condition)
