The inlaid scenes depict the meeting and birth of love between two frogs.

Scenes typical of Art Nouveau and very dear to Emile Gallé.
Due to their style, dating, and craftsmanship, their production is attributed to the great cabinetmaker.
Emile Gallé was born in 1846 in Nancy to a crystal merchant.
He is mainly known for the production of art glass and is considered one of the greatest exponents of Art Nouveau.
