Nesting tables attributed to Emile Gallé Set of 4 nesting tables. The tabletops are made of maple wood with inlays of fruitwood. The inlaid scenes depict the meeting and birth of love between two frogs. Each table shows a different scene. Scenes typical of Art Nouveau and very dear to Emile Gallé. Due to their style, dating, and craftsmanship, their production is attributed to the great cabinetmaker. Emile Gallé was born in 1846 in Nancy to a crystal merchant. He is mainly known for the production of art glass and is considered one of the greatest exponents of Art Nouveau.
