Painting of Christ Crucified with Saints
Description:
Oil on panel. Venetian school from the mid-16th century. Christ crucified at the center of the scene is surrounded by four saints identifiable by their iconographic signs: on the left, Saint Francis and Saint Jerome, on the right Saint Sebastian and Saint Roch. In the background, a glimpse of a city, probably Rome, to indicate the connection with the Church as an institution. On the back, there is a paper label with a number (from a private collection of the 19th century). The painting is presented in a strip frame.
