Refined and sumptuous bureau cabinet, of considerable size, entirely veneered in walnut burl with fruitwood inlays. The inlays consist of geometric panels, present on every side of the piece of furniture, which highlight the shapes and beautiful proportions. The cabinet has a sinuous shape, on the front and sides, which lends further refinement, and bracket feet. The front features three drawers, opened by lost-wax cast and gilded bronze locks and handles, ergonomically designed for storing items. The sides, on the other hand, have two doors that open to reveal three further shelves. The top is also hinged, and inside there are four small drawers; attention should also be drawn to the unique feature that, upon removal of the drawers, four secret compartments/hidden drawers are revealed on the sides. This is a piece of furniture crafted with extreme mastery and elegance, as can be seen in the care of the details and individual elements, for example, the use of olive wood pegs. This bureau cabinet is capable of bringing a touch of class, refinement, and antique taste to any environment. Roman manufacture from the Louis XV period, around the mid-19th century.
