Vienna, c. 1815-20. Rare inlaid secretaire from the early Biedermeier period in a practically intact condition, veneered with bird's-eye maple and burl ash, with an architecturally conceived interior masterfully inlaid with maple and plum woods in figurative motifs (see horse and rider on the writing desk surface, of masterful quality); ebonized wood stringing and details. Drawers veneered with thuya and cherry wood. Animal bone details. With a warm, original golden patina. In practically intact condition, restored and consolidated with professional conservative criteria using traditional techniques, with a museum-standard French polish finish applied with a pad. Vienna 1815-20. Cm. 161x113x50-100.
