Artwork dimensions: 60 x 80 cm
Description:
This painting depicts a evocative snowy alpine landscape, in the Mittenwald area, dominated by the Wetterstein mountain range, which stands out under a clear and bright sky. In the foreground, a vast expanse of snow stretches out, where the reddish roofs of two small huts can be glimpsed.
The central part of the work is occupied by a coniferous forest, where the fir trees are painted with vertical and compact brushstrokes that suggest depth and compositional rhythm. Behind them rise gentle snowy slopes that draw the eye towards the alpine peaks, rendered with blue and pearly-gray tones that evoke the cold and bright atmosphere of the mountain winter.
The composition is built according to a balanced and natural perspective: the snowy plain in the foreground, the forest in the intermediate zone, and finally the mountain range in the background. The color palette is dominated by whites, blues, and deep greens, with delicate tonal variations that capture the clear light of the high altitude.
Available with a custom-made 2 cm antique fir frame, crafted in our restoration laboratory.
