A refined chest of drawers with three drawers, an expression of Neoclassical cabinetmaking from the Emilian region.
The piece is distinguished by its balanced proportions and precious coverings, typical of workshops active in the Po Valley duchies, influenced by the international taste introduced by the Bourbon court of Parma.
Technical and Decorative Features
* Marquetry and Woods: The front and sides are embellished with large, high-quality burl walnut reserves, framed by elegant light boxwood stringing and walnut borders laid in a "herringbone" pattern.
* Top: The top surface echoes the decorative scheme of the body, with a large central elliptical medallion and a geometric perimeter frame that enhances its shine.
* Supports: It stands on the classic four inverted truncated pyramid feet, an element that lends poise and lightness to the entire structure.
* The gilt bronze escutcheons and circular handles are perfectly consistent with the formal rigor of the Emilian Louis XVI style.
