LAMP253 - Pair of important bronze candelabra, late 19th century, dimensions cm W 28 x D 20 x H 55
Description:
LAMP253 - Pair of important tabletop bronze candelabra, finely chiseled, in an eclectic 19th-century style, made in the second half of the 19th century. The base features a rich, dynamic structure with volute feet and rocaille-inspired ornamental motifs. A sculpture depicting a putto seated on a naturalistic base stands out in the center, a decorative element of great elegance that recalls the neoclassical and romantic figurative repertoire. From the sculptural group rises the central stem, which develops into an articulated multi-armed candelabrum, finely worked with volutes, vegetal motifs, and shaped candle holders. The balanced and dramatic composition imparts great movement and refinement to the whole. The warm bronze patina and the richness of the details highlight the high execution quality of the casting and chasing. Objects of great decorative charm, ideal for adorning a console table, a fireplace, or an important table in classic or representational settings. Some parts require restoration.
