Exceptional pair of large-sized sculptural candle holder arms in carved wood, ebony-colored painted and finely gilded. The two arms are shaped as two angels, sculpted from the bust and with wings, holding capitals on their heads, adorned with acanthus leaves, which are the candle holders. The lower part consists of elegant phytomorphic volutes, which connect to the plates for attachment. This pair can be admired for its great sculptural execution, expressive plasticity, and stylistic rendering typical of Florentine Mannerism, characterized by massive bodies in the Michelangelesque taste. This is a pair of candle holders of great uniqueness and elegance, capable of adding a touch of class and antiquity to any setting. Tuscan craftsmanship from the late 16th century.
