Description George III sterling silver teapot, Paul Storr, London, 1814 Sterling silver teapot, with a low and compact shape. Gadroon shaped edges on both the top and base of the teapot. An engraved crest depicting a bird with a snake is on the front. Lid fitted with a wire hinge and surmounted by a round knob. Crests engraved on both sides. Sterling silver hallmarked with 5 hallmarks: Maker's mark: Paul Storr Lion passant: alloy mark. Guarantee control of 925­/1000 sterling silver Leopard's head with crown: city of London Date letter year: 1814 Duty mark: King George III head Dimensions HxWxD: 13cm x 25cm x 15cm Weight Gross weight: 710g Provenance Private collection Condition Slight signs of wear and surface scratches.
