Description:
Pair of Polychrome Wrought Iron Corner Shelves from the early 1900s, composed of a sheet metal top with an edge profiled by a twisted cord and decorated with a railing of acanthus leaves in embossed sheet metal. The shelf consists of two iron flat bar volutes held together by straps and rivets, at the center of which are grafted twigs with flowers and leaves. They are handmade and lacquered in shades of green, brown, and red. They are an Italian artifact from the Art Nouveau period and date back to the first decades of the 1900s. They come from a private Milanese collection and are in good condition. They can be fixed to the wall by means of a central hook in the corner upright. Period: 1910.
