Refined and rare Viennese Classicism-Empire game table. Vienna 1790 -1810 approx. Veneered in mirrored cherry feather, with bronze applications/ornamental motifs typical of the period. The table opens like a book, rotating on itself and showing the game top in refined leather (the latter only replaced). It is a work in practically intact condition with a shellac finish applied with a pad using a museum-standard technique on the original patina. It measures cm 78 in height, 47.5 x 95 in width, 95x95 open top. Elegant and bright furniture with "clean" and minimalist lines, perfectly associated with modern high-end in an ensemble of prestige and refinement.
