Oil on canvas. Genoese school of the early 18th century. The man, whose thick wig places him within the nobility or the upper middle class, wears burnished metal armor, under which a lace cravat emerges from the gorget; on the breastplate are some symbols of his family. The portrait reflects the styles and typology in vogue in Genoa at the end of the 17th century - early 18th century, based on French models by Rigaud. The painting has some paint losses. Still on its original canvas, it was previously mounted on an early 20th-century wooden frame. It is presented in an 18th-century frame.
