Given its proportions, we offer you a unique and significant large pharmacy albarello, measuring 59cm x 29cm.
The vase was produced between the late 18th and early 19th centuries in Albissola by factories active during that period that received authorization from the Senate of Genoa to use the symbol of Genoa for their marks: The Lantern.
The vase is decorated with scenes from mythology and the classical world, also adorned with cherubic figures, framing the central cartouche bearing the inscription "Acqua Sicoria" (?). Above the cartouche is a noble coat of arms, probably indicating the noble family that owned the pharmacy.
The vase is in excellent condition, considering its monumental size and fragility, noting that there are no major breaks is remarkable. However, it shows numerous chips at the base and in the upper rim, probably due to past placements in collections, where it was likely placed on bases to prevent it from moving. Nothing that cannot be fixed by a professional restorer.
The overall measurements are: 59cm x 29cm. Mouth diameter 24cm.
