Charming antique cupboard with a raised section, in original patina and in intact condition, known in German as "Kannenstock," meaning "container for pitchers with handles." This type of furniture was commissioned in German-speaking countries to furnish the cellars of castles. Pitchers containing wine and other beverages were hung on the turned supports in the upper part. The lower part was used to store crockery, glasses, and bottles. In the upper part of the raised section, there is a bas-relief inscription, probably made to celebrate a wedding. In fact, such furniture was donated by the families of the couple to furnish the common residence as a wedding gift. In the inscription, we read the names of the spouses, a heart and a date (1786) are also carved. This date is likely later than the creation of the neoclassical style furniture (see geometric panels and inlaid compass rose), which took place in the 18th century. It is a splendid piece of furniture with a warm patina and museum-like preservation conditions, suitable for furnishing an entire wall in a prestigious tavern or even a lounge, or a high-class restaurant. It is made of solid combined oak and ash wood, with ebony wood marquetry (compass roses). The finish is shellac with a "matte semi-gloss" effect suitable for this type of furniture; all on original patina and with museum-standard technique. Width cm. 194, Height 220 cm, Depth 57 cm

Look at the last photo on this card, which is a fantasy computer simulation where the work is imagined in a high-end furniture setting for a luxury restaurant. A great touch of class and elegance to the whole (fantasy, any reference to real environments is casual and unintentional and please report it).
