The front is richly inlaid with brass sheet and mother-of-pearl, mirrored pairs of dragons surrounded by scrolls and floral and foliate compositions, swags and central vases. A drawer in the band under the top, a drop-leaf door concealing a writing desk with open compartments in mahogany burl and three further drawers below. Uprights in the form of slightly projecting Doric columns, bun feet. Gray marble top. Italy, 19th Century.
