Oil on canvas. Central Italian school from the late 17th - early 18th century. The composition features a female bust in the center, portrayed as if it were a sculptural effigy, due to the monochrome palette evoking marble. It is surrounded by a garland of colorful flowers, extending from twisted branches above, while a landscape fades into the background. This type of portrait originated in a Flemish setting and was popularized in Italy by Daniel Seghers. Restored and relined, the painting shows slight paint losses. It is presented in an antique frame.
