Pair of Neo-Baroque Style Sideboards, Italy, Late 19th Century
Description:
Pair of Neo-Baroque style sideboards. Three drawers in the under-top band decorated with floral, leafy, and fruit carvings; carved shells act as handles for the two lateral drawers, and four masks alternate with the drawers. A pair of carved doors feature a central vase and floral and leafy scrolls. Uprights are adorned with masks, ribbons, and fruit. On the sides, there are two superimposed open compartments supported by turned and carved columns. A small upper balustrade features a carved cimasa with a mask, volutes, and flowers. Interiors are made of oak. Italy, late 19th century.
