Splendid canvas from the late 16th century depicting the Madonna and Child surrounded by three charming little angels.
A very interesting painting with a subject so dear to the great Masters of ancient painting.
The scene is very pleasant, set in a context of infinite sweetness and serenity.
The maternal gaze of the Virgin, the central figure of the painting, looks down at her Son in a gesture full of love.
The three little angels smile joyfully, reassured by the Virgin's protective figure.
It is the allegorical image of "Charity" described by the Maternal Figure who bestows her love not only on her own Son but also on other needy little ones.
The theme is depicted here in a particularly refined manner, with a very balanced, perfectly symmetrical composition, where the protagonists completely fill the canvas, illuminated frontally and standing out against the dark background.
