Refined pair of Louis XV style armchairs. The structure is entirely made of walnut wood and features a wraparound back that flows smoothly into the padded armrests. The legs, elegantly arched and finished with curled terminals, are secured by an "X" crossbar with a central turned knob. The original small-stitch embroidered fabric upholstery constitutes the narrative heart of the work; the backrests host gallant scenes of Arcadian taste, with figures in period costumes immersed in rural landscapes and architectural ruins, enclosed within polychrome floral borders. The upholstery is fixed with burnished metal studs.
