Pair of Large Imari Porcelain Trumpet Vases
Description: Refined and impressive pair of porcelain trumpet vases, decorated according to the classic Imari palette in underglaze blue, iron red and pure gold highlights.
Artistic Features:
Body: The vases have an elegantly ribbed body that runs along the entire surface, ending in a wide corolla-shaped mouth with a wavy, gilded edge.
Main Decoration: The central decoration is dominated by a dense floral motif of naturalistic inspiration, with the presence of large flowering cherry trees and compositions of peonies and chrysanthemums.
Ornamental details: The base and collar are enriched with geometric reserves and cartouches that enclose fan motifs and phytomorphic decorations, alternating intense cobalt blue fields with rich golden friezes. The inside of the mouth takes up the reserve motif of the foot, guaranteeing aesthetic continuity.
Condition: The vases are intact and with vivid colours.
