Beautiful lacquered and silvered wooden sculpture depicting a putto standing on a tripod base in full figure.
Of beautiful size and entirely carved in the round with arms raised to hold a round tray on which to place a vase or a lamp.
The movement of the slightly curved body is very elegant to maintain balance.
Typically eighteenth-century, the three-sided base with three wild animal legs.
It is a very elegant sculpture executed in the second half of the 18th century in Louis XVI style to illuminate the corner of the room of a Venetian palace.
It has been perfectly restored with a masterly restoration of the silvering and is in excellent condition.
The underside of the base (not visible) has not been restored in order to ascertain its age. (see photo)
