We present this splendid small bronze sculpture depicting the bust of a young woman, dating back to the early 20th century. The sculpture is signed GEMITO on the back, probably the work of Vincenzo Gemito (Naples, July 16, 1852 – Naples, March 1, 1929), Italian sculptor and goldsmith. This refined bust depicts a young woman with her hair up and a wide neckline; the artist probably intended to portray "The Nursemaid", a typical subject of the veristic style. On the back there is a stamp that is no longer legible, probably identifying the foundry. This small bronze will not go unnoticed by your guests; its artistic beauty can enrich any room in your home.
