Elegant pendulum clock of the type "Morbier"/"Comtoise", in carved wood and lacquered with distemper, in shades of white and blue, with polychrome pictorial decorations. The clock has a front body entirely decorated with floral motifs, with two small historical scenes, one representing a rooster, while another lower down depicts two characters. The body can be opened, and through the glass, the lyre pendulum in embossed brass is visible, and worked in rich geometric and phytomorphic decorations. The case of the clock, which can also be opened with hooks on both sides, contains the dial in the center, included in a brass decoration, characterized by Roman numerals and the words "V.ve Aaron" and "à Nevers". The first refers to the watchmaker, it is a writing that is found in Comtoise clocks, used to indicate that the watchmaker's laboratory had been inherited by the widow of the founder or owner ("veuve" in French). The second refers to the location, that is, the French city of Nevers, located in Franche-Comté. It is a clock of great taste and refinement, capable of giving a touch of class and antiquity to any environment. Some defects are reported. French manufacture from the late 18th-early 19th century.
