Important 16th century Tuscan "ace of cups" table
Description:
Important "ace of cups" table from the second half of the 16th century, entirely made of solid walnut wood. This type of table, called "ace of cups," is considered exceptionally important for its rarity and beauty, and as a shining example of the taste in vogue in central Italy during the 15th-16th centuries.
The furniture is very well preserved with all its original parts, but probably during the 19th century, the two drawers under the top were added to the table, which were not originally planned.
The table is in its original patina, so it may be necessary to carry out a nice waxing, as well as a routine check to verify the total stability of the components.
The table measures: 180 cm in length x 82 cm in width and 83 cm in height.
You can view the table in person at our antique gallery located in Foligno (PG), Piazza Ettore Giacomini, 42.
A regular certificate of authenticity is attached to the sale.
