Elegant chest of drawers from the Classicism period. Austria, circa 1770, in intact condition.
Description:
Elegant chest of drawers from the Classicism period. Austria, circa 1770, in practically intact condition, with masterful French polish finish applied with a pad using a museum-standard technique on the original patina. It is veneered and finely inlaid with cherry, oak and solid oak, maple, ash, and plum wood. Original hardware. Masterfully French polished with a pad using a museum-standard technique on the original patina. Luminous and elegant piece of furniture with a warm golden-honey-amber reflection. Also excellent when combined with high-end modern furnishings for an original, prestigious, and refined elegance (see simulation photo). Measures cm 123 width x 60 depth x 87 height. In accordance with the provisions of the New Code of Cultural Heritage, the selling company provides, simultaneously with the sale, a detailed written photographic guarantee of the originality and provenance of the works sold. The data with which the works are described and then contained in the written guarantees are express determinations resulting from accurate and documented technical/historical/artistic investigations, even of expert significance. Observe the last photo on this sheet, which is our imaginary computer simulation where the work is imagined in a context of high-end modern furniture. A "modernity", a luminosity, and an abstraction emerge that are surprising for a work conceived two centuries ago, as well as a great touch of class and elegance to the whole. The high Viennese antique cabinetmaking, with its sober and minimal elegance, is very much linked to the lines of modern furniture.
