Rare late 17th-century corner cabinet in near-perfect condition
Description:
Rare late 17th-century corner cabinet in near-perfect condition, including internal and external embossed ironwork. The piece is made of solid oak with Baroque-style decorative details and panels in fine exotic wood and bird's eye maple. Restored with a conservative approach and in a workmanlike manner with consolidation and light shellac polishing applied with museum standard technique (a "matt" effect suitable for antique furniture) on the original first patina. Austria, second half of the 17th century. Height: 153 cm, width: 66 cm, max. depth: 40 cm.
