Refined oil painting on canvas, in a carved and painted wooden frame. Inside a painted oval, there is a depiction of the "Our Lady of Sorrows". Mary, in fact, dressed in monastic clothes and tunic, clasps her hands to her chest and looks upwards, which contains profound sadness. A light halo can be distinguished above her head. The painting has slight defects, but it is a work of great taste and refinement, capable of giving a touch of class to any environment. The work can probably be traced back to the hand of the Florentine painter Zanobi Canovai (1824-1877), or his school. Florentine manufacture of the second half of the 19th century.
